Welcome to seven days of journaling into the Missional rhythm of a thriving life.
Come to these pages slowly. Receive a breath. Read each day’s reflection without rushing. Let the words settle before you respond. There is no need to see the whole map or solve your whole life here. Simply notice where love is needed, where your life is being drawn, and what one faithful step may be asking of you.
The Missional Guiding Narrative
As image-bearers of the Divine, we are missional people—created to participate in God’s healing work in the world. We thrive by joining movements that generate hope, unity, and wholeness for all people.
Your breath prayer for these seven days
Inhale: Align my life…
Exhale: …with your love.
Day 1 · Alignment
Pause
Let yourself arrive gently. You do not need the whole map. Notice where your life is being quietly drawn today.
Breath prayer
Inhale: Align my life…
Exhale: …with your love.
Reflect · Genesis 12:1
Go from your country and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you.
Mission begins not with a grand plan, but with a life turning toward the voice of God.
Journal
- Where in your life right now do you sense a nudge, a pull, or an invitation?
- What is the good you are here to bring, while you still have breath?
- Where do you most long for your life to feel more aligned?
Pray
Gracious God, gather what is scattered in me and turn my life toward your love.
As a child of God, I will take the next faithful step. I am blessed to be a blessing.
Day 2 · Deep Gladness
Pause
Receive a breath. Notice what brings life to your soul.
Breath prayer
Inhale: Align my life…
Exhale: …with your love.
Reflect · Psalm 16:11
In your presence there is fullness of joy.
Mission often begins where deep gladness comes alive—not as self-indulgence, but as energy for blessing.
Journal
- Where do you feel most alive these days?
- What kind of work, relationship, or activity draws out your best energy?
- What might your deep gladness be trying to tell you?
Pray
God of joy, help me notice the places where life rises in me for the sake of others.
As a child of God, I will take the next faithful step. I am blessed to be a blessing.
Day 3 · Deep Hunger
Pause
Stay here for a moment. Let another person’s need come into view.
Breath prayer
Inhale: Align my life…
Exhale: …with your love.
Reflect · Isaiah 58:10
If you offer your food to the hungry and satisfy the needs of the afflicted, then your light shall rise in the darkness…
Missional living pays attention to the world’s deep hunger and refuses to look away.
Journal
- Where do you see need around you right now?
- What breaks your heart in a way that keeps asking for attention?
- What helps compassion become action in your life?
Pray
God of mercy, keep my heart open to the hunger of the world around me.
As a child of God, I will take the next faithful step. I am blessed to be a blessing.
Day 4 · Blessing
Pause
Receive a breath. Let blessing come into focus.
Breath prayer
Inhale: Align my life…
Exhale: …with your love.
Reflect · John 20:21
As the Father has sent me, so I send you.
Mission is not an extra assignment added to life. It is the shape love takes when it moves outward.
Journal
- In what ways have you been blessed?
- How might your life become a blessing to someone else this week?
- What would it mean to live as if what you have received is meant to move?
Pray
Gracious God, let what I have received become blessing in the lives of others.
As a child of God, I will take the next faithful step. I am blessed to be a blessing.
Day 5 · Go
Pause
Receive a breath. Let one small act of courage come into view.
Breath prayer
Inhale: Align my life…
Exhale: …with your love.
Reflect · Genesis 12:4
So Abram went…
Mission often begins not with certainty, but with one faithful yes.
Journal
- Recall a time when you stepped into something unknown. What helped you move forward?
- What tends to keep you from going—fear, uncertainty, fatigue, comfort, or feeling unqualified?
- What might “So Abram went” sound like in your life right now?
Pray
God of courage, meet me in the step I am afraid to take.
As a child of God, I will take the next faithful step. I am blessed to be a blessing.
Day 6 · Wholeness
Pause
Receive a breath. Consider a place, person, or situation where healing is needed.
Breath prayer
Inhale: Align my life…
Exhale: …with your love.
Reflect · Jeremiah 29:7
Seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you…
Missional living leans toward healing, unity, and wholeness in real places.
Journal
- Where do you long to see more healing, unity, or wholeness?
- What ordinary place in your life may be asking for more hope and care?
- How might you join what is already bringing healing and hope to that place?
Pray
God of wholeness, show me where love is needed and how I can join your healing work.
As a child of God, I will take the next faithful step. I am blessed to be a blessing.
Day 7 · The Next Faithful Step
Pause
Receive a breath. Return to this week with gratitude. Notice what has become clearer, and what one next step is asking for your yes.
Breath prayer
Inhale: Align my life…
Exhale: …with your love.
Reflect · Micah 6:8
What does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?
Missional living is rarely grand. More often, it is the next faithful step taken with humility and love.
Journal
- What have you noticed over these seven days?
- Where do your deep gladness and the world’s deep hunger seem to meet right now?
- What is one next faithful step you may be invited to take in this season?
- Write a one-sentence intention for the coming week: This week, I will…
Pray
Gracious God, align my life with your love. Give me courage for the next faithful step, and meet me on the way.
As a child of God, I will take the next faithful step. I am blessed to be a blessing.
