The Journal

A daily practice of noticing, receiving, reflecting, and living more intentionally.

The rhythms are not ideas to admire. They are practiced — in small, ordinary, repeatable ways. The journal is where that happens between gatherings.

Each rhythm has its own seven-day journaling experience. Every day offers a pause, a breath prayer, a passage of ancient wisdom, three questions to write into, a prayer, and a refrain to carry with you. Work through one rhythm a week, or stay with a single rhythm as long as it is asking something of you.

Where to begin

Start with Spirited — seven days on receiving life as gift rather than earning it.

The seven journaling experiences

Spirited

Alive by gift, not by striving.

Creative

Expressing, making, imagining.

Connected

Relationships and belonging.

Present

Awareness and attention.

Grateful

Noticing what is good.

Generous

Giving freely.

Missional

Living with purpose and direction.
